We are requesting monetary assistance from Garinagu and friends to send an Ambulatory Hospital to the First Garifuna Hospital in the World, located in Ciriboya (Mañali), Honduras.
“Luagu Hátuadi Waduheñu” is operating in Ciriboya providing free medical attention to all people in the region, is the first hospital of its kind in Honduras. The Garinagu and Cuban medical brigades are serving the communities, they need the ambulance to serve as ambulatory hospital in the most remote and isolated villages in Honduras. There is no electricity in any of the villages of the region, we have acquired 80 solar panels to be sent to the hospital. We have a 2000, Ford diesel, fully loaded Ambulance in Los Angeles at the residence of Ruben Reyes ready to be shipped to Ciriboya, but we need $2,500.00 more for transportation, plus additional monies for insurance and permits. We need the assistance of your organization to expedite the shipment which was scheduled for September 15th, 2008; Please send your contributions to: P.O. Box 621013, Los Angeles, CA 90062.
Thank you
